Austin Peay strings area is proud to host the 4th Annual String Summer Camp, June 10-14, 2019. This is a great way for your students to work with APSU faculty and local teachers on Suzuki repertoire as well as new pieces. This year's theme is Holiday Music and promises to be a fun week of music, crafts, and fun!

Learn from TTU Faculty in an immersive three-day summer festival focused on large ensemble rehearsals and chamber music experiences.

The Sewanee Summer String Academy

This is a unique two-week program for rising 7th-9th* grade violinists, violists, cellists and basses that runs concurrently with the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, in residence at nearby St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School.

Strings Crossings Camp

This is a week-long camp where students can study classical, jazz, rock, celtic, swing, and bluegrass. Students have the opportunity to study with Belmont University’s world renowned faculty in Nashville in group classes to learn multiple genres and learn from their expertise in a small ensemble in the genre of your choice.

John Overton Orchestra Camp
Metro Nashville Public Schools.
Orchestra camp is a fun and engaging experience for young musicians in grades 5 - 12 who wish to enhance their musical skills and abilities and learn from highly professional and motivating instructors in a relaxed summer atmosphere. Students must have completed one school year of instruction on their instrument and be able to read music before attending camp. Students will be placed in a String Ensemble based on their age and playing ability. They also must commit to attending all days of camp and participating in the concert.

Vanderbilt Adult Chamber Music Institute
July 11-14, 2019
Amateur adult string players and pianists are invited to join us for four delightful days of playing chamber music. All skill levels are welcome; chamber groups are formed based on background and experience. Daily events include coachings, technique sessions, concerts and time to relax and make new friends in music.

Paul Rolland String Pedagogy Workshop

This internationally-acclaimed program is recognized for its innovative relevance to string teachers, performers, and serious college students. At our workshop you will learn the ground-breaking playing and teaching principles and techniques of Paul Rolland from world renowned pedagogues, several of whom studied with him and collaborated with him in numerous workshops; and others who have adapted Rolland pedagogy to cello, bass, chamber music, and conducting.
